Monk Botanical Gardens is out and about in the next few weeks! The Gardens is all about experiences outdoors, but those can come in so many shapes and sizes, and we’re going on the road in a few ways in January and February to three different conferences and expos to share what we do!

On January 27th you’ll find Pat Witt, Garden Supervisor, at our booth at the Gardens Visions Conference held by the Northcentral Wisconsin Master Gardeners at the NTC Wausau Campus all day! Pat will be sharing information about volunteering, upcoming events, memberships, and more!

Our biggest trip of the year is February 9-11th to the PBS Wisconsin Garden & Landscape Expo at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison! Pat and Program Director Elise Schuler, will be at the Gardens’ booth there with activities for kids & adults and sharing information about Monk Botanical Gardens to attendees.

If you’re planning for your wedding day, you’ll want to find us at the Signs of Love Wedding Expo on Sunday, February 18th! Our new Private Events Coordinator, Lydia Phillippi, will be there to answer all your questions about having your ceremony at the Gardens, our first-ever vendor show coming up on June 23rd, and making your special day at the Gardens everything you’ve dreamed of!

We’ll also be at UWSP-Wausau’s Career Exploration Day on February 23rd and the Greater Wausau Youth Hiring & Career Fest on March 7th at Wausau East High School. Elise and our Volunteer Coordinator, Megan Johnson, will share volunteer opportunities, internship openings and information about our Naturalist in Training program!

If you’re looking for a beautiful outdoor wedding venue, a way to get involved at the Gardens through volunteering, or if you have a teen who is exploring career options, there are so many ways to connect with us! Hope to see you around soon!
