Summer Camp In the Gardens

We are excited to offer families more options for the summer of 2024!

Summer Camp for 3&4 year-olds (Sprouts) is FULL. 

Summer Camp for 5&6 year-olds (Saplings) is FULL. 

  • Register for half days (8:30 AM- 12:00 PM) or full days (8:30 AM-3:30 PM)
  • Member Pricing:
    • Half days- $136 per child per week 
    • Full days- $212 per child per week 
  • Early drop 0ff (7:45 AM) $5/day 
  • After care (3:30-5:30 PM) $5/day

Naturalists in Training Program 

Naturalists in Training are kids ages 12-16 that are ready to take on some responsibility and help to plan lessons, prepare supplies, and lead activities for younger campers. They will gain an increased knowledge of the natural world as well as leadership skills and confidence!

Weekend Wonders

These programs are designed for explorers of all ages to do together as a family! Every month features a different topic to get you and your family outdoors, learning about the plants and animals in our big backyard.

Third Saturday of the month at 10 am
$15 per family; 20% off for members. 

Registration is required. Deadline to register is 9am the day before. Best for families with young children. Dress for the weather, we will spend time outdoors. Meet at the potager.

Tots In the Gardens

Every month is a new theme, and each session includes an activity or craft, and a story. Learn about plants, birds, bugs, and the tools you can use to explore nature with your 3-5 year old.

Tuesdays 10-11am, meet at the red yurt.
$7 per tot; free for members. Cash at the door only.
Registration is not required, but appreciated.

Babes In the Gardens

Babies and their caregivers are invited to the Gardens for a short story time or activity just for our littlest nature lovers! Participants are welcome to stay and play/socialize. Best for children ages 3 and under, siblings welcome. 

Tuesdays at 8:30 am
$3 per baby; free for members. Cash only.
Registration is not required, but appreciated. 

Best for babies under 2 years old. Siblings welcome. Please bring cash if you are not a member. Dress according to the weather; we will spend time outdoors!

First Days: Celebrate the Change of Seasons

Celebrate the first day of each new season with family-friendly activities in the Gardens! 

Summer Solar Cars

The summer solstice is the longest day of the year, and to celebrate the over 15 hours of daylight, we’re hosting a solar car race! Build a solar car (materials provided and yours to take home), decorate it to make it stand out, and we’ll end the event with a race of all the cars built! All ages, register with friends or family and work together! 

June 22 at 10 am
$30 per family/group of up to 6; 20% discount for members.
Registration required.

Deadline to register is Wednesday, June 19. Dress for the weather; this event will be completely outdoors. Meet at the potager.

Pollinator Week

Pollinators come in all shapes and sizes and are integral to our ecosystem. Through making phenology observations with our environmental educator using Nature’s Notebook, we’ll learn about some important pollinators, the plants they visit, and what it all means for our ecosystem.

Pollen Trackers, June 17 at 6 pm
Nectar Connectors, June 20 at 6 pm
Free for all.
Registration is not required, but appreciated.

Best for families with children ages 5 and up. Dress for the weather; this event will be completely outdoors. Meet at the kitchen garden.
