Thalictrum rochebruneanum or Japanese Meadow Rue is blooming near the metal turtle and tree sculptures in the Wildflower Woods. This dainty-looking perennial towers above most perennials with its six-foot stems. The lavender buttercup-like flowers are adorned with yellow stamens in the center. Japanese Meadow Rue can tolerate full sun or part shade conditions. Along with the Meadow Rue, we have a plethora of colorful perennials and shrubs flowering around the Gardens as well. Check out the Hydrangeas, Liatris, Coneflowers, Yarrow, Shasta Daisy, Astilbe, Cupflower, Beebalm, Anise Hyssop, Joe Pye Weed, Russian Sage, Bigleaf Aster, Milkweed, Hostas, and Alliums.
