It may only be February, but summer will be here before we know it! Here at the Gardens, we are kicking summer planning into high gear, and we are incredibly excited for the busy season ahead.
I am particularly excited about our Summer Camp program this year. For the first time, we were able to offer spots for kids of all ages (3-16) every week, rather than only offering one age group per week. This is a great opportunity for families to send several of their children to the same place, and for the whole summer if they choose to.
We are also able to offer the option for kids to stay for “extended days”, until 3:30, as well as before care and after care options. This means that families have care available for their kids from 7:45 am- 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Additionally, we have a new registration system that allows families to complete their DCF (Department of Children and Families) paperwork online and register multiple children of different ages in one transaction, making the process easier and more convenient than ever before.
Maybe most exciting of all, we are adding several fun new areas and activities to our routines to make for a more “traditional” camp feel- think skits, low ropes elements, morning campfires to start the day, and more- while still keeping nature and science at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking forward to a great, fun-filled and sun-soaked summer, and we hope you’ll join us! Camps for 3 and 4-year-olds are already full for the summer, and there are only a few spots left for the older age groups as well, so act fast! Gardens members at the “Family” level or higher get 20% off of camp weeks, so this is a great time to become a member if you aren’t one already. See you at the Gardens!
