Frequently Asked Questions about Admission
Admission fees will play a small role in helping the Gardens build sustainable support for the needs of a thriving community hub and resources to care for the plant treasures cultivated in the Gardens. Now that the Capital Campaign Improvements are complete, the infrastructure is in place to provide an easy way to ensure members can continue to enter for free and visitors can receive a warm welcome when they pay admission fees.

Museums for All: $5*
Occasional public free for all days will be scheduled each season. Partnerships with other non-profits and local agencies are also being explored.
*The Gardens is a participating member of Museums for All, a national, branded access program that encourages individuals of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum habits. Those receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits) can gain free or reduced admission to more than 1,500 museums throughout the United States.
A seasonal admission fee will begin on April 23, 2026 and continue to the day before Thanksgiving. Winter months will not currently require admission.
The winter season will be free apart from special events. Occasional public free for all days will be scheduled each year, and partnerships with other non-profits and local agencies are being explored.
The Gardens is also a participating member of Museums for All, and some visitors may be able to pay a reduced fee through this initiative.
Details pertaining to entrance to the Gardens through Museums for All will be fully decided prior to implementing admission charges.

We are currently fine tuning technology to facilitate a smooth entry process. Current members will receive a card or code in late Spring 2026.

No, membership is not required to volunteer at the Gardens.
A photography permit or annual photography membership covers the photographer or videographer’s use of the Gardens for a commercial session, and admission for them and their clients. Learn more about photography guidelines.
